Easy for you, Lazy for your guests

Optimising untapped potential

Why do tourist resorts lose money on ancillary services, and how can that change?

What makes a business idea a truly good one? It generates sustainable, measurable profit. And what makes it the best? It solves a real operational problem on the ground, optimises operating costs, opens new revenue streams and, at the same time, gives the guest a flawless guest experience.

Pools and beach at a tourist resort

Ancillary services - from sunbeds to spa appointments - are usually a resort's most underused source of revenue.

The digitalisation of ancillary services and amenities in Croatian hotels, campsites and resorts didn't start in meeting rooms. It started on the operational front line, at the busiest spots with the longest queues.

From analogue bookings to a smart digital point of sale

When staff spend a large part of their working day on paper notebooks, checking free slots by phone and micromanaging while guests wait in line, that is a clear sign of operational inefficiency. Unless the physical location and its amenities become a smart digital point of sale, the property loses a significant share of potential revenue while wearing out its operational resources for nothing.

That is how the concept came about: one platform that brings together the key steps of the business - booking, automated fiscalisation and instant payment.

The occupancy of every unit is visible in real time, with no paper notebooks or phone checks.

The key step forward was automating upselling and cross-selling. When guests can browse and order extra services in one simple interaction, amenities stop being just a maintenance cost and become a highly profitable source of additional revenue.

Better operations in hotels and resorts

Miljenko Baković, founder of EasyLazy, with many years of experience in building advanced software and leading technology teams, recognised that the challenges at outdoor locations were not isolated cases but a systemic problem of the tourism sector.

The model soon scaled from outdoor locations straight into hotels, campsites and resorts.

Every location and service in the resort on one map: the guest chooses, the system records.

Today's guest at a large resort isn't only after the core service. They want breakfast, a tennis court, a wellness treatment or an excursion.

The behavioural economics are clear: the shorter the path from intention to purchase, the higher the conversion rate and the average spend. When every service is just two clicks away, buying becomes a natural part of the holiday.

Managing amenities across a hotel complex or campsite is often a technological and logistical challenge. Management needs full control of revenue, consolidated reporting and an efficient workforce, while guests expect instant service.

A centralised, modular system that takes the load off operations

Automated sunbed rental, sports court bookings, excursion tickets or spa appointments: every service is tracked through a single platform. With the core service and the extras sold through the same channel, upselling and cross-selling happen automatically.

No complex integrations, no double data entry

Most solutions on the market need long, expensive integrations, or make staff enter receipts by hand, separately from the bookings, which piles pressure on the team. With EasyLazy, every receipt is fiscalised automatically at the moment of the transaction and, where needed, passed on to the existing PMS. All financial data stays in one place, operating costs go down and the risk of errors is kept to a minimum.

An optimised guest experience, free of admin hurdles

Guests on holiday avoid downloading apps, creating accounts and long sign-ups. To book a service, the guest simply scans a QR code or opens a link, picks what they want, pays online and gets an official receipt by email. The result is happier guests and higher revenue per guest, in a process of just two clicks.
